The political factor is one of the factors that have a significant impact on the health and social care services. There is the introduction of some key changes by the Act of Social care and Health to the NHS in England. These changes came into existence on April 1, 2013. Some of these changes included; providing the clinical commission groups a good budget to obtain care on behalf of the local community. Composition About Film Essay Example for Free

Composition About Film Essay The film that I saw last week is about the dangerous art of extraction valuable secrets from deep within the subconscious during sleep, when the mind is most vulnerable. The main character of the film called Cobb. He is a talented thief, the best of the best in his work. At the beginning of the film we see Cobb’s dream in which he with his wife lived in their town that they create alone in unexpected for me and I was surprising when I saw how in our dream we can see people who not existent in the reality. Then the point is that Cobb’s command received the proposition to change some events in the life of one of the richest company in the world. They had to do that this company fell down and other man who managing other company could be the first and control others. If Cobb, and his command do this he promise Cobb to help him with law, because as we know he was a thief and all police search him and that’s why he can’t returned home to his children. The purpose of the architect when extracting designed sleep so sleep could not distinguish it from reality and create a sleeping most complex maze of sleep, from which the victim could not easily escape. The Civil Rights Movement and Dr. Martin Luther King Essay -- The Civi

The Civil Rights Movement and Dr. Martin Luther King The Civil Rights movement is still identified by people across the world with Dr Martin Luther King. His day of birth is remarked with a national holiday in the United States and there are many historic sites dedicated to MLK across the nation. His funeral in Atlanta on 9th April 1968 was attended by political leaders from around the world and later in 1977 King was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom which stated that MLK was â€Å"the conscience on his generation† who†¦Ã¢â‚¬ saw the power of love could bring down segregation†. It is clear that MLK had a huge impact on how the civil rights movement was to be perceived by all people in the years to follow. ‘Martin Luther’s Style of Leadership’ written by Peter J Ling for the BBC Website suggests that King is â€Å"†¦Vividly remembered†¦thanks to the miracle of Television†. It is apparent that the boom of household televisions and the rising involvement of media and news coverage helped king to demonstrate his communicational skills through his speeches which were broadcasted across the nation. However many people argue that the media played a huge part in his prominence and focused on his achievements and successes rather than his faults. MLK’s approach to achieving racial equality is admired by many. His non-violent peaceful protests gained more support from African Americans, who realised that this was the only realistic approach for them to achieve civil rights. They had seen various other leaders attempt violent direct action which resulted in even more turmoil for the blacks. This non-violent strategy gave the whole movement a s... ...n†, which made it difficult for her to conform to male-dominated hierarchies. . She quit the NAACP when she could no longer abide Walter White and left SCLC after becoming disenchanted with King. It could be said Baker had a personal vendetta against MLK, who was constantly receiving recognition for the hard work that many unsung civil rights heroes like Baker were putting in. The Freedom Rides of 1961 were credited as being the work of King and his Southern Christian Leadership Conference organisation. However it was the Congress of Racial Equality (CORE) who were behind the rides. When MLK was asked to join the freedom riders into Mississippi he declined their invitation, thus resulting in the organisation to publicly show their mistrust in a leader who, As Ling puts it, â€Å"preferred to cheer from the sidelines.†

Achilles and the Embassy Book Ix of the Iliad

Achilles’ Decision on the Embassy An extremely large problem in the world today and in Homeric times as well, is people not knowing how to set their pride aside and clean up their own messes. In Book IX of The Iliad, we see Agamemnon’s struggle with war and Achilles personal war in his own head. Achilles is not a door mat for Agamemnon, nor should he be; Achilles is a great warrior. Book IX truly illustrates what kind of men they both are. Achilles is right to refuse the embassy in Book IX because he keeps his honor as a man and a warrior intact.Agamemnon is a man of terrible character and he does not understand what honor is at all. Sending others to do his dirty work is morally wrong. He has shamefully treated Achilles as if he is a second-class citizen, and he always has. Agamemnon barely makes an attempt to win Achilles, the greatest warrior Homeric times have ever known, over. He offers Achilles many women and gifts, including â€Å"the one he took away at first, Briseus’ daughter, and he [swears] a solemn, binding oath in the bargain he never mounted her bed† (332-334).Agamemnon offers everything in the book to Achilles begging him to come back, but what really shows his character is that he sent others to propose the deal. Even worse, he says if Achilles accepts he can come back if Achilles would â€Å"bow down to [Agamemnon] I am the greater king, I am the elder-born, I claim-the greater man† (192-193). Achilles is a remarkable warrior and an honorable man. He has been treated as second-rate to Agamemnon for a long time. Agamemnon needs Achilles on his side if he wants any hope of defeating the Trojans and even he admits it through Odysseus in multiple pages of Book IX.If he honestly thought winning the war without Achilles leading the Achaean troops he would not have even bothered sending Odysseus, Ajax, and Phoenix. Agamemnon may be a better king and war strategist than Achilles would be, but he is not the warrior th at Achilles is, he could never achieve the same status. Achilles gives the Achaean soldiers hope and drive that Agamemnon cannot provide. Achilles has dealt with the way he has been treated for long enough. He just wants to go home and live his life instead of risking it for someone who thinks he is better than Achilles. He retains more of his honor going home and living a full life than if he would accept the bribe that has been placed in front of him. At least that way Achilles is not telling the world that he can be bought. Agamemnon needs to personally go to Achilles and ask for forgiveness. Not accepting the embassy is definitely the most appropriate choice that Achilles can make. By rejecting Agamemnon’s feeble pleas to return to battle he is more likely to live a long, happy life. Achilles shows the world that he cannot be purchased by anyone and that he is not a spineless door mat who is okay with being treated in such a terrible manner constantly. In the defining momen ts of Book IX we see how completely opposite Achilles and Agamemnon are of each other. Achilles is the hope of an entire army and Agamemnon can clearly not get his act together. Agamemnon should have gone to Achilles himself instead of sending others, to ask him to come back. If he knew what he was doing Agamemnon would have approached him and spoken to him as a true equal and apologized for all of his wrong-doings. Refusing the embassy is the right thing for Achilles to do; it keeps his honor undamaged as a warrior and a man.

Mba Program in Kogod School of Business Essay

MNTC, my painstaking effort, is aggressively aimed to produce for China’s electric power enterprises the best RFID chip, and to provide the power equipment inspection departments and clients with decoders and background service. After quitting from the bank job, I immediately created MNTC, which has always been carefully treated as my child. For its robust growth, I have tried my best to be the world’s most attentive father. RFID chips function as both equipment IDs and recorders. First, write customer information into the chips and encrypt it through the encryption system out of our own independent research and development, and then install those chips into all sorts of needed electric power equipments, so as to equip the corresponding departments and users with the ability to access the devices through network in a secure and efficient manner. After having successfully solved the financial and the human resource crisis, the usual issues encountered during the initial period of an enterprise development, I further established a background system development team. Since then, MNTC won the first sum of financing, which made me wholly aroused. But the company being bigger and stronger forced me to feel that my already insufficient management skills is eventually unable to fulfill the development needs of MNTC. And hence I deeply realize the very importance of more advanced management concepts and strategies. Advancing my management ability is indeed the short-term goal, and this is closely related to most courses in the Kogod School of Business. The study and research on those courses can definitely cultivate me to be a more prudent and masterful manager. Upon graduation, I have faith that, not only can I take the most of the improved economic modes to implement better cost control, but also I could apply more brilliant business strategies to explore the expansive ways of MNTC. I’m more eager to learn from American University (AU) about how to perfect the industry chain of electric power by finally achieving the more optimized combination of technology and capital, and how to promote industrial revolution in the perspective of networking application. Yes, that is my long-term goal, seemingly far away. To reach it, I am in dire need of the guidance of my future beacons, the distinguished professors in the Kogod School. Hope to draw on the experience of the successful roads of numerous American enterprises, through which in order to accumulate more capital and introduce more powerful technology innovation for China’s electric power industry. Years of management experience has solidly honed me to become a diligent thinker who can always figure out solutions from different angles. The diversity of AU and AU’s emphasis on creation nicely fit this characteristic of mine. What’s more, the specialties of AU – Kogod Center for Career Development and K-LAB (Kogod Leadership & Applied Business) would guarantee me a wide and deep network of alumni resources from within the AU community and beyond. Thus, I firmly believe that the world-class MBA program in AU, outstanding and well-rounded, plus the superior geographical position of Washington, DC are the two critical factors of ensuring that American University is and will be the best choice of accomplishing my long-term goal.
